Scriptural Authority
All articles on Pre-Trib Truth are grounded in the biblical text. We affirm the full inspiration, inerrancy, and authority of Scripture. Our interpretations seek to honor the original context, genre, and authorial intent of each passage.
Hermeneutical Approach
We employ a consistent literal-grammatical-historical hermeneutic. Where the biblical text uses plain language, we accept its plain meaning. We recognize symbolic and apocalyptic genres but interpret symbols within their biblical context rather than through contemporary speculation.
Fair Treatment of Opposing Views
We are committed to representing opposing positions accurately before responding to them. Articles that address objections will state those objections clearly and in terms their proponents would recognize. We do not misrepresent, caricature, or dismiss opposing views without engagement.
Theological Distinctives
Pre-Trib Truth advocates a pre-tribulational, pre-millennial understanding of end-times prophecy. We recognize that faithful Christians who affirm the authority of Scripture may reach different conclusions. Our goal is to persuade through careful exegesis, not to question the sincerity or faith of those who differ.
Corrections
We welcome substantiated corrections. If you believe an article contains a factual or exegetical error, please contact us with the specific article, the claim in question, and supporting evidence. We will review all serious corrections and update articles as needed.
No Date-Setting
We categorically reject date-setting for the rapture or any prophetic event. Jesus taught that no one knows the day or hour (Matthew 24:36). Speculative timelines undermine the credibility of prophetic teaching and distract from Scripture's intended purpose: to encourage watchfulness and holy living.
